Author's ceramics - plate mountain by Japanese ceramist Tomohiko Ono. From Sodeshi
Tomohiko Ono comes from the fifth generation of potters. His grandfather Toshiro Ono was part of the Mingei movement and one of the pupils of the famous British ceramist Bernard Howell Leach. Sodeshi's workshop is located in the town of Matsue in Shimane Prefecture. The plate is shaped in the form of a mountain. The clay comes from the town of Matsue. The plate is unglazed on the underside and has a relatively rough surface. It is a contemporary product.
